The Fellowship of the Mystery:
The Life and Letters of Paul
The Pastor’s Bible Study, Fellowship of the Mystery, The Pastor’s Bible Study, the Fellowship of the Mystery, will NOT meet during the month of August, but will resume its regular meetings on Wednesday, September 10, 7:00-8:30 pm, at the Grishams’ home. At that time, we will continue our long-term study of “The Life and Letters of Paul,” launching an in-depth examination 1 Thessalonians. Light snacks and coffee will be provided. The study questions will be available for download from this site about a week before the class begins.
Annual Outdoor Service and Picnic, September 7
Mark you calendars for the annual outdoor service and church picnic, Sunday, September 7, at Pavilion 6 in Core Creek Park! Sign your name to the volunteer list located at the back table to help with setup and supplies. For more information, contact Bob Reiser. (Note that on account of the fellowship time afforded by this annual picnic, “First Sunday,” the open house luncheon at Pastor Grisham’s home usually done on the first Sunday of each month, will be postponed until October 5.)
Light the Night Walk, September 27
Bucks Central Church is officially participating in the Light the Night Walk, Saturday, September 27, at 4:30 pm, starting at Bucks County Community College. This is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual evening fundraising Walk to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. Funds raised support this mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Put on your Bucks Central tee shirt and sneakers, and walk with us! To help with setup and supplies, sign your name to the volunteer list located at the back table.
Women’s Ministry Events and Activities
Women of Bucks! The next meeting of the Women’s Prayer and Discussion Group is scheduled for Thursday, September 4, 7:30-9:00 pm, at the home of Walt and Judy Samsoe. We are working through Beth Moore’s book, Praying God’s Word, and will be discussing chapter 7.
Healing Hands, the monthly knitting and crafts fellowship group, meets Tuesday, September 16, 10:00 am-12 noon, at the Grishams’ home. JoAnn Smith will lead us as we make bracelets and necklaces for donation to CHOP. Please consider joining us for what is sure to be a fun, rewarding, and healing experience. Child care will be provided, but please RSVP if you’ll be planning to bring a child. Contact Virginia Grisham for more information.

Men’s Breakfast and Bible Study
Men of Bucks! The Men’s Bible Study meets this Tuesday, September 2, 7:30-9:00 pm, at the home of Vince Cacciatore. Join us as we continue a devotional study on the nature and character of Faith.
The Men’s Breakfast is scheduled to meet Saturday, September 20, 8:00 am, at the home of Pastor Grisham. We’ll enjoy good food and great discussion as we continue our study of the Westminster Confession. (For those who are reading the material in advance, next time = chapter 4.)

Sound Ministry Volunteer Trainees Needed
Interested in serving Bucks Central Church in an area where we really need help? We are seeking a number of volunteers to train in running the sound board on Sundays, both for amplification of sound and recording of the messages. The Worship Team will meet for a special practice session this Monday, September 1, 7:00 pm, at the Grishams’ home.
The Session meets this Tuesday, September 2, 7:30 pm, at the home of Pastor Grisham.
The Eastern Pennsylvania Presbytery is scheduled to meet Tuesday, September 9, 2:00-9:00 pm, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
There will be a Special Congregational meeting next Sunday, September 14, (a) to update the congregation on the status of our search for a new facility, and (b) to update and get feedback on the status of the proposed name change.
The Global Impact Team will meet Sunday, September 21, 12:30 pm, at the Augustines’ home.
The Deacons are scheduled to meet Thursday, September 25, 7:00 pm, at Yorgs’ home.
